How Tournament Scores Are Calculated

Most Astromania casino tournaments use a win/bet ratio scoring system. This means the tournament doesn't favour players with larger bankrolls - it rewards high multiplier wins relative to stake size, giving all players an equal chance regardless of how much they bet per spin.

Score = Amount Won ÷ Amount Bet

Applied to each qualifying spin or bet

Your tournament score accumulates across all qualifying spins during the tournament period. Only completed, settled spins count - open or cancelled bets are not scored. If two players finish with the same score, the player who reached that score first is ranked higher.

Example Calculation

You bet $1.50 on a qualifying slot and win $22.50. Your score for that spin is 15 points (22.50 / 1.50 = 15). A large bet of $10 winning $80 gives just 8 points. A small bet finding a big multiplier earns more points per dollar than a large bet with a modest win.

Note: The Drops & Wins tournament by Pragmatic Play also includes random in-game cash prize drops that are separate from the leaderboard score. The drops occur automatically on eligible spins at any bet size.

Tournament Formats at Astromania

Casino Leaderboard

Score-based competition on eligible slots. Points = win/bet ratio per spin. Accumulate score during the tournament window. Leaderboard updates in real time. Top finishers win cash prizes.

Network Tournament

Tournaments run simultaneously across multiple casinos using the same game provider (e.g. Drops & Wins by Pragmatic, Amusnet Casino Clash). You compete against all players at every participating operator, giving larger prize pools and more competition.

Sports Leaderboard

Football or multi-sport competition using sports betting activity as the scoring basis. Minimum bet thresholds apply. Only settled, qualifying bets count. Prizes are distributed to the top finishers after the tournament period ends.

Random Prize Drops

Used in Drops & Wins. Random cash prizes are awarded to players mid-session during any qualifying spin. No leaderboard element - the drop happens automatically. Prize credited to account within 72 hours. No wagering on dropped prizes.

Tournaments - FAQ

Common questions about Astromania casino and sports tournaments.

Do I need to opt in to participate in a tournament?

+

For most casino tournaments at Astromania, no opt-in is required. Simply play any qualifying game listed for the tournament at or above the minimum bet and your score is automatically tracked. For some specific tournaments (including the Spinoleague), you may need to click an "OK" or "Join" button on the tournament screen within the game to register your participation in the leaderboard. The tournament details for each competition confirm whether opt-in is required before you start playing.

Do tournament prizes have wagering requirements?

+

Most tournament prizes at Astromania are paid as cash with no wagering requirement - they go directly to your withdrawable balance. Some tournaments use alternative prize formats: the Roulette Run (in Casino Promotions) distributes Golden Chips worth $1.50 each, which must be used on eligible games before the winnings from those chips become withdrawable. Always check the specific tournament's Terms and Conditions for prize format details before participating.

How are tournament scores calculated?

+

Casino tournament scores at Astromania are based on win/bet ratio: Score = Amount Won / Amount Bet. This means a $1.50 bet that returns $30 generates 20 points - the same as a $5 bet returning $100. The scoring system levels the playing field so players with smaller bankrolls can compete fairly against high-rollers. Scores accumulate across all qualifying spins during the tournament. In the event of a tie, the player who reached the score first is ranked higher.

When are tournament prizes credited?

+

Tournament prizes are typically credited to your account within 72 hours of the tournament ending. The exact timeline varies by tournament and provider. For network tournaments (like Drops & Wins and Amusnet Casino Clash), the prize processing is handled by the game provider and may take slightly longer than Astromania's own leaderboard tournaments. If your prize hasn't arrived within 72 hours, contact support via Live Chat with your player ID and the tournament name.

Can I participate in multiple tournaments at the same time?

+

Yes - you can participate in multiple tournaments simultaneously. Playing a qualifying game for one tournament doesn't affect your eligibility for another. If a game qualifies for multiple tournaments at the same time, your spins may contribute to scores in all relevant competitions simultaneously. Check the qualifying game list for each tournament to understand which games count towards which leaderboards. Some games appear in multiple tournament game lists at the same time.
